1981: Rainbow Aquarium Founded

Rainbow Aquarium was founded in 1981 by Mr. Ho Kian Huat, starting with a humble four-man team. It first carved a niche in the ornamental fish industry, expanding into fish farming at Sembawang.

CITES Certification: First to receive CITES certification for the export of three Arowana varieties globally.

Breeding and Distribution: Advanced capabilities, particularly in breeding and distributing wild-caught and endangered species like altum angels and wild discus.

2001: Rainbow Fish Industries Incorporated

2006: 2nd-Generation Transformed The Family Business

Mr. Joel Ho, second-generation successor of the founding family, joined Rainbow Fish Industries in 2006 as a Sales Assistant at the age of 18, while pursuing his tertiary education.​​

His early start allowed him to gain a deep understanding of the business, from the intricacies of sales to the nuances of customer relationship management. ​​

Under his visionary leadership, the group ​​​secured distributorship of global brands such as AZOO, CHIHIROS, AQUAEL, SERA, and MICROBE-LIFT, further solidifying our position as one of the key market leaders in Asia.
